Glow Matrix Core began when co-founder Elena Marsh, a former compliance trainer at a Birmingham credit union, noticed members asking about cryptocurrency terminology they encountered online — particularly Solana, which settled faster than chains they had researched before. Rather than publish generic crypto explainers, she rented desk space on Atlantic Road and built a physical glossary archive: printed interface screenshots, annotated transaction receipts, and index cards sorted by term.

By 2022, weekly study circles outgrew the desk. Co-founder David Okonkwo, who had spent five years writing internal training docs for a fintech support team, joined to structure sessions into the workshops we offer today. We incorporated as Glow Matrix Core Ltd in 2023 and expanded the reading room to seat eight learners with shared screens for live interface walkthroughs.

What we believe

Trading vocabulary without risk context is memorisation. Risk frameworks without vocabulary are abstract. We teach both together, using Solana-specific examples because generic DeFi definitions often miss nuances — priority fees, versioned transactions, token extensions — that appear on the interfaces our learners actually use.

Our approach

Sessions are small, question-friendly, and grounded in documents you can verify: official Solana docs, protocol whitepapers, and explorer data. We do not run paid groups, sell signals, or manage client funds. Income comes from session fees and printed materials.

The team

Elena Marsh leads terminology workshops and maintains the printed glossary. She holds a Certificate in Financial Studies (CeFS) and completed the Solana Foundation's deprecated community educator programme in 2022.

David Okonkwo conducts risk walkthroughs and develops field notes. He previously documented support playbooks covering wallet errors and failed transaction codes.

Amira Hassan hosts glossary clinics and handles learner enquiries. She translated early Solana documentation for Arabic-speaking community groups before joining us full-time in 2024.
